I was thrilled to find the first article I sent off to a magazine was accepted for publication. It gave me hope for my new future career as a writer and as you can imagine, it was an exciting moment in our household.

I would like to say how much I enjoyed the Professional Freelance Journalism Course offered by the Morris Journalism Academy. My writing has improved greatly and before I had even completed the course, I had an article accepted for publication.

There were a number of reasons why I chose to study with Morris Journalism. One was that this journalism course was relatively inexpensive. Another reason was the fact that I could complete it via correspondence, at my own pace and at times which suited my busy lifestyle.

The staff from MJA were always courteous and prompt in any matter that I required. Whether my query was about some part of the course, or just the return of my marked work that I’d sent in, it was all dealt with promptly and pleasantly. Nothing was too hard for the staff!

I felt very nervous about the first couple of assignments I sent it, but my tutor gave me such positive feedback and made me feel that I was more than capable. This gave me the confidence that I needed in my work, which I had initially lacked. As I was approaching the end of the course, I was filled with confidence and enthusiasm to receive my tutor’s comments.

As a busy wife, mother and full-time employee, I don’t have a lot of time. Therefore, I didn’t really have time to write articles, as well as study and it wasn’t until the end of the course, that I had the opportunity to write something for publication.

I was thrilled to find the first article I sent off to a magazine was accepted for publication. It gave me hope for my new future career as a writer and as you can imagine, it was an exciting moment in our household. At the moment I’m looking forward to more published works and the supplement to my income this will bring, putting the cream in the coffee, so to speak. I’m now expecting 3 articles to be to be published, featuring in magazines: Take 5UFOlogist and Think and Grow Rich.

Ultimately it’s my dream to write from home, leaving the daily grind and commute for others. Writing isn’t work – it’s a form of relaxation and I’m looking forward to doing more of it in the future. I’ve learnt a lot of valuable information from this journalism course and I’m very pleased with the outcome. The title I now hold, that of Professional Freelance Journalist, is something I can be proud of.
