This program has equipped me with the essential skills and boosted my confidence to create engaging content, publish it online, and even produce captivating documentaries.
During the journalism course and since its completion I have been actively pursuing freelance work in the music industry … I have written over 100 album reviews, I have reviewed an incredible array of live concerts and I have had the chance to interview some of my musical heroes.
About six months after completing the course I started working at Reader’s Digest, where I garnered a lot of experience across a mix of advertising, copywriting and journalism-based assignments. Without having done the course, I wouldn’t have even got a look-in for the position…
Following a trip to Europe, I decided I wanted to turn my hobby of writing into something greater so that I could contribute pieces to magazines and newspapers. Already working a full-time job, I only wanted to pursue freelance journalism on a part-time basis. University didn’t feel like the right path for me or my goals, so I started researching the alternatives.
